Hostmonster is a good host, but it’s totally different from Squarespace.
Squarespace is not really a host. It’s a blogging platform with great templates, and if you don’t need more options than they offer (and you’re a beginner) I recommend them.
If you want a real host I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/
